chalk, paint, mustard, yellow, desk

She painted the desk with homemade chalk paint in 2 colors of Behr paints to achieve the mustard yellow color. She stained the top with Minwax dark walnut and covered the entire desk with Annie Sloan dark wax diluted with paint thinner to create a glaze. So pretty!

Blossom Sewing Cabinet

Welcome Paint Lovers…

Faye @ MacGIRLver submitted her sewing cabinet.

Spray paint, stencil

She took an ugly sewing cabinet and spray painted it white, first with Krylon dual, and then with Rustoleum Blossom White. She antiqued it with ebony stain. For the top she primed it twice and then painted it with Dutch Boy Cabinet and trim paint, stenciled the letters, sanded, and again antiqued with ebony stain.  Love the top.

Custom Blue Desk

Welcome Paint Lovers…

Shanna @ Restoration Redoux submitted this gorgeous blue desk…

She stained the top with minwax dark walnut and then she made her own chalk paint using three different colors of old turquoise paint she had on hand. She distressed it, glazed it with a clear mixing glaze and dark walnut stain mixture and waxed it with Annie Sloans clear wax.

Tinted Glazed Dresser

Welcome Paint Lovers…

Martha @ Leone Design submitted her lovely dresser…

She used homemade chalk paint for the white portions of this dresser by mixing Behr paint with plaster of paris.  She then applied Annie Sloan dark wax to the stripped top and the glaze was used by combining black paint with Behr Premium Plus Faux Glaze.  I love the detail the glaze brings out.
