Black and White French Dresser

Welcome Paint Lovers…

Lori @ Thee Velvet Glove submitted her lovely French dresser.

She stripped, sanded and stained the top with Minwax Dark Walnut. The chest was painted, distressed and waxed with Annie Sloan Clear and Dark Wax then buffed to create a velvety sheen. So pretty!

Paint and Burlap

Welcome Paint Lovers…

Today I’ve got two great paint projects from Kim @ Reposhture!

PoP Reposhture

She found this little table in the trash. The only thing wrong with it was the leather inset was coming up in places and was in bad shape. So she pulled it out and painted the whole thing Rustoleum Black in Satin. She added a burlap inset using ModPodge.  She spray painted the original hardware using Rustoleum in Brass.

Another trash find!  She stripped it first before painting because the varnish was in bad shape. After stripping them, she primed then spray painted them Rustoleum in Antique White. Distressed them a bit and then sealed them with a coat of wax. Recovered the seats in burlap and added a covered button to the center to finish them off.

Welcome Paint Lovers…

Beth @ Make Me Pretty Again submitted this beautiful dresser makeover.

PoP Make Me Pretty Again

She stripped down an old dresser with hideous paint to create a shabby, distressed French country look.

Alison @ Secondhand Fancy submitted a fun chalkboard dresser.

She had a $10 craigslist find that her daughter adorned with some original artwork. With some leftover chalkboard paint and knobs that were hand painted – each one by a different family member she created such an original piece.
